The EU initiates the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on Chinese iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel hot-rolled coils
On April 5, 2022, the European Commission issued an announcement that in response to the application submitted by the European Iron and Steel Association on behalf of the EU iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel hot-rolled coil manufacturers on January 4, 2022, the iron, Non-alloy or other alloy steel hot-rolled coils are subject to the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation.
The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) codes of the products involved are 7208 10 00, 7208 25 00, 7208 26 00, 7208 27 00, 7208 36 00, 7208 37 00, 7208 38 00, 7208 39 00, 7208 40 00, 7208 52 10, 7208 52 99, 7208 53 10, 7208 53 90, 7208 54 00, 7211 13 00, 7211 14 00, 7211 19 00, ex 7225 19 10 (TARIC code is 7225 19 10 90), 7225 40 90, ex 72 (TARIC encoded as 7225 40 60 90), 7225 40 90, ex 7226 19 10 (TARIC encoded as 7226 19 10 91, 7226 19 10 95), 7226 91 91 and 7226 91 99.
The dumping investigation period in this case is from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021, and the damage investigation period is from January 1, 2018 to the end of the dumping investigation period.
On February 13, 2016, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation against China Railway, non-alloy or other alloy steel hot-rolled coils. On April 6, 2017, the European Commission made a final affirmative anti-dumping ruling on hot-rolled coils of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel originating in China. (Ministry of Commerce website)
