Pakistan’s first anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on China’s galvanized coil

On August 31, 2022, the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan issued Announcement No. 37/2015/NTC/GCS/SSR-I/2021, which stipulates that the thickness of the product originating in or imported from China is between 0.15 mm and 2.75 mm, the width Galvanized Steel Coils/Sheets of thickness ranging from 0.15 mm to 2.75 mm and of a width of 600mm or larger than or equal to 600 mm will continue to be subject to anti-dumping duties of 6.09% to 40.47% (see the attached table for tax rates), the measures will take effect from February 8, 2022, and will be valid for 5 years. The Pakistani tax numbers of the products involved are 7210.4110, 7210.4190, 7210.4990, 7212.3010, 7212.3090, 7225.9200, and 7226.9900.

On August 11, 2015, the National Customs Commission of Pakistan initiated an anti-dumping investigation on galvanized coils originating in or imported from China. On February 8, 2017, Pakistan made an affirmative final ruling on the case, and formally imposed anti-dumping duties of 6.09% to 40.47% on the products involved in China. On February 8, 2022, the National Customs Commission of Pakistan launched the first sunset review investigation of the case.
