Thailand launches anti-dumping sunset review investigation on China-related special iron and steel pipes
On July 19, 2022, the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand issued an announcement stating that in response to the application submitted by domestic associations on March 18, 2022, special iron pipes and steel pipes (Thai: หลอดและท่อทำ ด้วยเหล็กหรือเหล็กกล้า, refer to English: Certain iron steel pipe sand tube) initiated the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation.

During the investigation of the case, anti-dumping duties at the current rate will be levied on the products involved in the form of deposits, and the validity period will not exceed one year. The announcement will take effect from the day after it is issued.
Stakeholders should apply for a questionnaire to participate in the investigation within 15 days of the announcement, and submit case comments and evidence within 30 days
On January 19, 2016, Thailand launched an anti-dumping investigation on special iron pipes and steel pipes originating in China and South Korea. On July 19, 2017, Thailand decided to levy anti-dumping duties of 3.22% to 66.01% and 3.49% to 53.88% based on the CIF price of the products involved in China and South Korea, respectively, valid for 5 years, from July 20, 2017, to 2022 July 19, 2009.
